My name is Emma, and I am the manager at Overstone House
I have worked in the health care sector for 23 years, starting out as a care assistant and working my way up through the ranks to finally achieve my dream of managing my own care home. Throughout my career I have managed various services caring for the elderly, and for those who require care due to mental health issues and learning disabilities. I was privileged to manage a service offering specialised care to those with complex needs and dual sensory loss and it was within this this home that I was awarded an outstanding from CQC for a safe, caring and well led service. This was my greatest achievement, I set my standards high and am determined to replicate this success in any service that I manage.
I enjoy a challenge and have a hands-on management approach, always throwing myself in and being part of the team. I am a people person, I have a passion for personal development, for supporting others to succeed.
I have a positive attitude and a smile for everyone, I’m happiest when helping others.
I am fully committed to success and would always put myself forward to help and turn things around, I like the rewarding feeling this brings.
On a personal note, I’m happily married, and I have 2 sons, aged 4 and 18, they alone keep me on my toes. I love being outdoors, long walks and holidays.
I am excited about my future at Overstone House and cannot wait to turn this beautiful new building into a home.
